ZS named Great Place to Work® across the globe

We are thrilled to announce that ZS has been recertified as a Great Place to Work. The Great Place to Work® Institute, which anonymously gauges employee satisfaction, has named ZS a Great Place to Work in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, India, Japan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. This award from the global authority on workplace culture is granted only to top employers that offer exceptional experiences.

Where passion changes lives

The Great Place to Work evaluation measures attitudes, perceptions and opinions of employees regarding credibility, fairness, respect, pride and camaraderie. In the most recent survey, ZSers noted the inclusive, encouraging nature of the ZS community as top reasons they enjoy being a ZSer.

  • 90% say they are able to take time off from work when they think it is necessary
  • 89% say they believe management is honest and ethical in its business practices

ZSers take pride in creating a welcoming, equitable workplace culture—from implementing companywide bias and hiring training to supporting employee-led diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) groups and prioritizing DEI practices in our client work. Over 90% of ZSers surveyed said they believe people here are treated fairly, regardless of their age, sexual orientation or race. In 2023, our equity-based leadership program, Path to Principal (P2P), engaged more women managers in India in coaching, mentorship, workshops and other professional development avenues toward a future leadership role.

“There is a huge community within ZS that I can lean on,” says Pavithra Kanna, associate principal from ZS’s Bengaluru office. “The mentorship I received over the years from my team helped me push myself to accomplish more. At ZS, I feel like I have the power to carve my journey.”

A full 87% of ZSers surveyed said that when you join the firm, you are made to feel welcomed. Our New to ZS onboarding program is designed to ensure incoming ZSers have comprehensive training, mentorship and support to build camaraderie with peers and leadership alike from day one. During the summer of 2023, ZS also promoted more than 1,200 ZSers, reinforcing that ZS is a place where people can thrive in their careers.

Collaboration at ZS extends beyond strategic partnerships to action on pressing topics including health equity, progress on environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments published in our first ESG report and dedication to making our communities healthier places to live. In 2023, more than 1,600 ZSers across 31 offices spent over 7,000 hours volunteering on ZS Cares Day, our annual day of giving.

Of the ZSers surveyed, 99% described us as a safe place to work. ZS prioritizes the physical safety of ZSers and their well-being to maintain a productive, innovative and engaged workforce. This is evident by the survey and our International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications. ZS’s “ISO 45001: Occupational health and safety management” and “ISO 45003: Psychological health and safety at work” certifications cover our largest offices, which account for nearly 80% of our employees. These certifications establish systemic guidance to provide safe and healthy workplaces for our employees, avoid work-related health risks and set global standards and practices to manage overall employee well-being. As of 2023, ZS is one of the few organizations and the first in India to receive ISO certification for psychological safety in the workplace.

The continued investment ZSers make in fostering a welcoming environment earned ZS the Equality 100 Award from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index. In a year during which the foundation raised the bar on its criteria, ZS proudly celebrates achieving a perfect score for the annual Corporate Equality Index that evaluates policies and practices on LGBTQIA+ workplace equality in the U.S.

ZSers around the world are making a difference for clients, customers, each other and our collective future. Being recognized for our culture in this way shows that our community is strong, connected and on the right path for creating impact that matters.
