Abhay leads the R&D excellence technology team and drives ZS’s mission of helping clients increase their R&D investment effectiveness.

Abhay is the technology lead for ZS’s R&D excellence practice. Since joining ZS in January 2016, Abhay has been focused on building and strengthening client relationships with the firm’s R&D excellence organization. He has also been deeply involved in assimilating the technology and functional capabilities in pharmaceutical R&D, starting with real-world evidence and clinical operations.

Abhay has around 20 years of R&D IT experience advising life sciences companies on a host of R&D IT technology strategies and solutions. His areas of expertise include digital strategy development, defining and building validated (21CFR Part 11) industry-leading solutions in clinical and drug safety, venture startup and road mapping, alliance management, contracts and data privacy.

Before joining ZS, Abhay led the TransCelerate venture and the R&D-focused centers of excellence in the life sciences practice at Cognizant.

Abhay holds a bachelor of engineering in electronics, with honors, from the National Institute of Technology in Allahabad, India.
