Expertise
Ed has deep expertise in global pricing and reimbursement, both on an affiliate level as a general manager of a European affiliate, and at corporate headquarters as the leader of global pricing and health economics groups in Wyeth, Eli Lilly and BMS. He is the author of The Price of Global Health, a well-known book about global drug pricing and market-access-related topics. The book’s second edition is available through Routledge Publishing.
Prior experience
Ed previously led consulting practices in Cambridge Pharma/IMS, Analytica International and his own consultancy. He advised most large drug companies on product pricing and market access strategy, global pricing policy, clinical and outcomes trial design, and internal organizational and process challenges. Most projects involved global payer and pricing research through a host of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
Education
Ed holds a master’s degree in engineering from the Delft Technical University in the Netherlands, and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
