Role
Sean has been with ZS since 2006 and currently leads the Los Angeles office and the firm’s forecasting practice. He is a frequent collaborator with practice teams focused on oncology and rare diseases, and is a facilitator for ZS’s unconscious bias program.
Expertise
Sean works with ZS’s life sciences clients to help guide them in making a broad array of sales, marketing and business development decisions that commonly depend upon business forecasts or insights drawn from forecasted market dynamics. He integrates into his work a wide array of analytical and primary research methodologies to ensure decisions are grounded in a deep understanding of markets.
Prior experience
Before joining ZS, Sean led business development for a discovery-stage pharmaceutical company that was using machine learning and machine vision methods to develop novel treatments for heart failure. He also worked with a boutique consultancy providing strategy and marketing support to early stage high-tech and life sciences companies.
Education
Sean holds an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.A. (cum laude) from Williams College. He is a co-inventor on U.S. patent 9,001,884, describing novel methods for analytically characterizing digital image sequences and their applications in life sciences microscopy.
