Role



Maria is managing partner of global commercialization strategy and solutions across industries at ZS. In this role, she oversees the practice areas that guide ZS’s clients in optimizing their commercial and operating models, driving innovation, strategy and value. She previously led ZS’s global biopharma industry practice.

 

Maria has been part of the firm’s healthcare leadership team for 10 years, with specific expertise in oncology, cell and gene therapy, and rare diseases and biosimilars. She is a founding leader of ZS’s strategy and transformation practice and has served as managing principal of the Philadelphia office.

For more than 20 years, Maria has advised leading healthcare companies on end-to-end commercial strategy in areas such as marketing, sales, customer insights, analytics and digital, operations, value and access, pipeline development, global and local strategies and launch.

 

Maria is a recognized leader who is passionate about advancing health. She is also the host of ZS’s “Transforming Biopharma“ podcast, and has been quoted or published in The Wall Street Journal, Managed Healthcare Executive, Scrip, Pharmaceutical Executive, PM360 and others. In 2015, she was listed as one of Consulting magazine’s top 12 women consultants. She frequently presents at public and private industry events, sharing her perspective on the challenges of today and what’s around the corner tomorrow.

Prior experience



Maria joined ZS in 2005. Her prior experience focused on direct response and relationship marketing and advertising across several industries, including healthcare.

Education



Maria holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with a focus in global healthcare management and a B.S. in business administration and marketing from La Salle University.
