ZS in India has earned certification as a Great Place to Work for the fifth consecutive year. This credential is the gold standard awarded by the global authority on workplace culture, the Great Place to Work Institute.
The Great Place to Work Institute also honored ZS in India for its commitment toward building and sustaining a high-trust and high-performance work culture.
The coveted re-certification comes on the heels of prestigious workplace achievements ZS garnered from Working Mother and Avtar. For three years in a row, ZS has been named one of the top 100 companies for women by the Working Mother and Avtar Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) and earned the “Exemplar of Inclusion” award in the second edition of Working Mother and Avtar Most Inclusive Companies Index (MICI).
"This recognition is a testament to our people and culture," says Sanjay Joshi, ZS's Asia regional managing principal. "ZSers are passionately committed. Our unique collaborative culture has emerged even stronger during these unprecedented times. I'm incredibly proud to be part of such a people-first firm."

ZSer-led inclusion and diversity groups, like the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) and Pride@ZS, are driving positive change by enabling professional growth and supporting individual choices. In addition to creating opportunities for ZS women to come together and share ideas during International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day, ZS’s India offices celebrated the success stories of women at ZS during an annual WLI summit. Creating a welcoming community where all ZSers can be their authentic selves, the offices also connected virtually for LGBTQ-focused events throughout the year.
The health and wellbeing of every ZSer is a foremost priority. During an especially challenging year, ZSers could find balance through a collection of new initiatives, including fitness sessions, virtual art exhibitions and mental health workshops. ZSers also gathered virtually to advance the conversation on mental health during #WorldMentalHealthDay and benefitted from a dedicated employee assistance program that included counseling, a self-help library and a 24/7 helpline.
With growth and innovation at the core of ZS ambition to achieve meaningful impact, in 2020, ZS hosted the first virtual learning academy in India. More than 3,000 ZSers participated in 57 courses for over 22 hours of learning, from skill-based sessions to knowledge upgrades.
The global health crisis brought out the best of ZSers, as ZS Cares teams in India gave back to the communities in which they live and work. In just one ZS Cares Day, more than 1,150 ZSers shared over 1,700 volunteer hours and facilitated 26 events. From organizing walks and distributing COVID protection kits, to planting more than 850 trees and providing critical education support to students in rural areas – ZSers stepped up to improve the lives of more than 2,150 people.
Our people bring our values to life every day – making ZS a great place to work year after year.
